I was familiar with the MGA Make It Miniverse products as they’ve been advertised to me on my Instagram for quite some time probably because I follow a few of those miniature cooking and baking IG accounts. As cute as these toys are, I never had a reason to buy them as I wouldn’t want to start a new collection if I can’t use the item in some way, I don’t want my things to just sit on a shelf and collect dust, I want to use them! However, since I started playing with my Blythe doll I’ve been looking for ways to get creative with Bythe's photography and miniatures are the perfect accessory!
I started my miniatures journey with the MGA Make It Miniverse X Target series. This collection features 12 different Make It Minis recipes with ingredients or products from the store Target, each container also comes with a set of Target stickers, a Bullseye (the dog mascot of Target), and a Target shopping bag or basket. I bought two of them and shared an unboxing on my Blythestagram. I got the caramel popcorn and mini cupcakes with two different Target shopping totes!
The caramel in the caramel popcorn container leaked which you can see in the video but there is still some of the caramel tub.
I created a video of me making the mini cupcakes. I used my LalaLoopsy oven in the video which I also used in this IG reel. This was my first time working with the resin from the MGA Make It Miniverse and let me tell you, it takes forever to dry! I left this overnight and when I woke up the resin had still not set! I eventually had to use my UV nail lamp and then left the cupcakes on my window to set overnight (again) but that did the trick and they finally were dry! It only took 48 hours…
Fun fact about this video! After I finished decorating the cupcakes and left them to dry when I came back I accidentally dropped the container and most of the cupcakes were squished! I cleaned the container and the cupcakes and had to start all over again!
I decided to try my luck again and pick up another MGA Make It Miniverse X Target ball because I really wanted the Target basket to use as a prop in photoshoots. I even researched online to see how I could get a basket! Sadly, I didn’t get the basket 😠but I did get the Bullseye bag! This means now I have 3 out of the 4 Target bags! However, I’m going to try to acquire the basket some other way as I don’t want to continue buying these Target Make It Miniverses balls. I want to start buying some other series! haha
I shared the above image in my Blythestagram as part of bellaespritblog #flatlaysunday25 challenge. Every week, Tania (aka bellaespritblog) announces a new prompt and the following Sunday you share a picture of said challenge. For this photo, the theme was ‘shopping’ so the MGA Make It Miniverse X Target minis came in handy for this challenge.
I’m so excited to see how my miniature collection expands next year. I can already see myself buying more of the MGA Make It Miniverse and Mini Brands (another miniature brand) in 2025. I also asked for some of these mystery miniatures for Christmas so hopefully I’ll receive some!
