Final Specs for Neo Blythe "Una and Dot” Announced!
The perfect Blythe doll to add to your Easter basket! 🐥

The final specifications for “Una and Dot” have been unveiled! I actually first saw photos of Una via Blythestagram when an doll account I followed posted an AI version of the Blythe. I was so disappointed when I saw this image! As a creative person, I’m against artificial intelligence and have been horrified by how rapidly people have adjusted to using AI willy-nilly. People literally use it as a search engine or like a magic genie to solve their issues! Not only is it bad for the environment, but it’s bad for artists and creative people who already struggle to make their content seen online and now it’s being stole without their knowledge and being used by anyone without their permission.
It’s especially heartbreaking to see doll collectors use AI in their posts to create photo backgrounds, brand logos, and now Blythe doll images! The doll community is made up of some of the most talented and creative people I have ever seen so to see some people use it in their posts disappoints me. I saw this reel by DustBunnyDoll that best described my thoughts about the rise of AI in the doll community.
Speaking of, before Junie Moon uploaded the final images on their Instagram, I saw a lot of people sharing leaked photos of “Una and Dot” on Instagram. I’m not sure where these photos first appeared, but it must have been Facebook (which I’m not on), as I’ve heard many leaked Blythe information is dropped in the official Blythe Facebook group first. It’s one thing for a leaked image to make the rounds online, but it’s another to use AI to create a doll before the company is ready to release the final photos. Please be patient and respect the creative process. We Blythe lovers are already spoiled with multiple doll releases in a year! Art takes time, don’t ruin it! Rant over.
Una is the cuddliest little lamb—so fluffy and lovable, you just want to hug her all day! Her best friend is Dot, a tiny chick who follows her everywhere.
They’re always together, playing, giggling, and being the cutest pair around!

My thoughts
As predicted in my illustration post, “Una and Dot” didn’t come with anything extra. She’s true to her illustration! With that said, she’s really cute! She reminds me of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu with the short milk tea brown hair!
Her lamb costume is insanely adorable, and I love that they added a belly to it! It’s such a cute and funny touch. The details on the half bonnet and apron are cute and perfect for the spring season. She’s would be the perfect doll to get in your Easter basket.
I will say that Una does look sort of washed out in some of the photos. I’m not sure if it’s the photos they shot of her or the colors they chose for her. It could be due to the Translucent Cream skin tone. I’ve noticed Blythe dolls look a bit pale with this face color.
As suspected, the “Dot” in “Una and Dot” is only the embroidered chick on Una’s apron. I think it’s rather funny that “Her best friend is Dot, a tiny chick who follows her everywhere. They’re always together, playing, giggling, and being the cutest pair around!” is just a chick on her apron. Are you insinuating that an image on a piece of clothing follows her around and that she plays and laughs with it? lol
