The first official images of “Hazel the Hedgehog” have finally arrived! Her hair isn’t what I was expecting, and she’s definitely giving baby Ewok vibes with her hood, but I’ll discuss more of my thoughts in a minute.

Hazel is a bit of a green hedge witch who lives in a garden hidden away in a cozy area and tends to her garden, planting and harvesting vegetables all year round. They also describe her as a night owl who comes out to play after sunset, who enjoys the company of the moon and stars (same!). She has this magical vibe about her that I personally really love!
Hazel the hedgehog lives tucked away in a cozy nest of dry leaves, nestled in the corner of a beautiful garden.
The garden belongs to a kind young lady who pours her heart into planting vegetables throughout the year.
Hazel is a bit of a night owl, coming out to play only after the sun sets.
But when the moon rises and the stars twinkle above, you can often find the two of them side by side, quietly watching the night unfold together, enjoying each other’s company in the gentle glow of the evening.

Hazel comes with a earthy-toned hedgehog-printed dress, green underskirt with ruffle detail, a cream cape with ruffle and eyelet details, a corduroy hood with fluffy earmuffs, cream-colored tights, a hedgehog bag, brown boots, default panties, and a brown stand.
My thoughts
When I first saw photos of Hazel, I immediately thought she looked like an Ewok! Which is cute. Ewoks are cutie baby creatures! She also looks like a gnome, but overall, very cozy, and she looks like the perfect autumn girl! The hood is so silly tho!
Her hair wasn’t what I was expecting… she looks like a millennial with graying hair (I say this as a millennial with graying hair. lol). I wish the pink streaks had been thicker and more prominent. I do think the brown purple hair color is really pretty, though. We don’t get enough brown haired beauties.
Her dress is also pretty. The style reminds me of a dress you would see an antique doll wear, but with a mori girl-inspired print. The boots and petticoat are adorable and suit the dress perfectly! The strap of the hedgehog bag is a bit odd. From afar, it looks like she’s just holding a sign with a hedgehog on it. lol
Hazel only comes with one set of special eyes and doesn’t have a manicure or pierced ears. Her special eye color reminds me of the green that my May (Save the Animals) has, which I believe was also a special eye color.
Overall, I find Hazel quite charming! She looks like she has so much personality based on her story and outfit! However, I’m still not sold on that hair. I would’ve preferred her with a solid color. Maybe when I see more photos of her styled differently, that’ll change my mind. What do you think of Hazel?
