We were promised a melon soda but got a Baja Blast...
The Creamy Cherry Sweetheart final specifications have arrived, and it’s nothing like the illustration we were promised! Sometimes, when Blythe doll illustrations are released, you're unsure whether or not they’ll look better than the physical doll. I’ve seen some illustrations that made me unsure about the doll but once the Blythe was released, they look much better in photos! However, there is also the case where an illustration can look quite promising but the final result is… This was the case with Creamy Cherry Sweetheart.
If you read my first thoughts on “Creamy Cherry Sweetheart” than you know that I was really excited to see her stock! Her stock looked so cute in the illustration but when these images were posted, I was shocked to see that this is what “Creamy Cherry Sweetheart” looks like. I feel like they let us down. I’ll rant about my issues with this release more down below! lol

Creamy Cherry Sweet comes with a one-piece green gingham melon soda and cherry printed dress and matching half bonnet, a white petticoat, ruffle trim socks with red ribbons, a melon soda bag, underwear, red shoes, and green waist holder doll stand.
My thoughts
Where do I begin? The hair. Her hair is just horrible! Not only is the shade unflattering but the “strong perm” just makes it look worse! Her hair looks like she stayed in the pool for too long, and her hair started to turn green due to the chlorine and got all frizzy! She needs purple shampoo asap!
I think what I’m most disappointed in is the stock. The quality looks horriendous, like it was sloppily put together last minute. First off, the green color in the illustration was called “spring green” so I was expecting a light green or somthing but what we got was this minty teal color which is a cute color but not necceary melon soda green. We were promised Melon soda but what we got was Baja Blast…
Next up, the stock pieces. The bonnet headpiece looks so ridiculous. It’s supposr to be a “half bonnet” but it just looks like when your umberella turns itself inside out when it gets windy and rainy. Also, why did they have to attach the cherries? They could’ve piecred her earrings and made the cherries earrings which I think would’ve been a better idea. Especially, since many Blythe collectors like dolls with piecred ears. Such a missed opportunity! My most anticipated stock item, the melon cream soda bag, looks like a joke! It’s so bad, I don’t even want to talk about.
The makeup is bland but I wasn’t expecting anything special based on her illstartion. Silent Lucrecia’s makeup was soooo impressive, so to get three dolls in a row with simple makeup is a shame.
We did get a speical pull-string which I think is suppose to be a cherry but looks more like an apple to me. They could’ve made is look more like a cherry. Also, what’s up with the box design? It screams Christmas! smh
As for positives, I think her speical eye chips look nice. The front-facing special teal eye color is really pretty. lol
Overall, I’m very disappointed! From what I’ve gathered on Blythstagram, many people are disappointed too! I only saw one person who thought she kinda looked cute. Maybe when more photos of her are released wearing different outfits she’ll grow on us but we will have to wait and see!
