The Top 50 Semi-Finalists for the Neo Blythe International Beauty Contest Have Been Announced!
Congrats to all the semi-finalists! 🥳🎉👏
Neo Blythe has updated their website for the 25th Anniversary Neo Blythe International Beauty Contest with the top 50 entries that have made it to the semi-finalists! Most of the entries that I shared in my previous Beauty Contest post made it to the top 50! It’s so cool to see so many doll creators and collectors who I follow make it to this round of the Neo Blythe Beauty Contest! Like, Junko Wong and the minds behind Junie Moon saw your work! How incredible is that?
Unfortunately, not everyone did. I feel really bad for those who didn’t, but if you didn’t make it to the this round, just know that you’re incredibly talented and took a chance to share your love for Blythe dolls with collectors from around the world, and you should be proud of yourself for that!

FINAL THOUGHTS
Everyone in the doll community is so creative! I’m just amazed at the themes and usage of materials and colors the doll artists used to create their dolls. I believe it’s going to be difficult to narrow it down to 25 finalists, but I wish all the creators GOOD LUCK!
Not going to lie, I was surprised by some of the entries. In the Neo Blythe Beauty Contest rules, they state that dolls should “respect Blythe’s original mold” and personality I felt that certain doll face molds contained a lot of makeup or lip sculpting that didn’t even look like the authentic Blythe dolls anymore. But I guess the judges thought that they were charming enough to make it to the top 50 Neo Blythe semi-finalists, so I trust that the judges chose the dolls that they thought were impressive enough to move forward in the competition.
Next month, on August 23rd, half of the entries will be chosen and make it to the top 25 finalists! I’ll make a new post when the finalists go live. Stay tuned!
