Hello, I'm Michelle! I've been blogging for 10+ years and have been on every blog-like platform such as Live Journal, Blogger, Tumblr, etc. My main website is Mooeyandfriends, where I still post actively 2-3 times a week! I had a different Substack at the start of 2024 but after contemplating it, I decided to transform my Substack all about Blythe Dolls!
My love for Blythe dolls started back in 2007 when my older sister first had an enhanced Petal Blythe, being her younger sister all I wanted to copy her (lol) so I was gifted a Save the Animals Blythe on my birthday later that same year. However, as I got older my interest in the doll went away but I always had her display somewhere in my bedroom as I thought a Blythe this beautiful (and expensive!) deserved better so my Blythe was always tucked away somewhere.
In October of 2024, I decided to give my Save the Animals Blythe doll a little makeover after years of neglect and in the process fell head over heels in love with Blythe dolls once again! I recorded a video down below showing this process.
I decided to start this Substack and revolve it around all things Blythe dolls for a few reasons,
It allows me to discuss this niche doll interest
There is not a lot of Blythe doll content out there at least not written content and my love for blogging works well on Substack
I like to stay updated on the new Blythe doll releases and news
I would like to track and share my experience on how this doll changed my life (sounds dramatic, I know!)

Mooey&May is a safe space for Blythe doll lovers to nerd out about all things related to Blythe dolls! I want this place to be a safe space for beginners and long-time Blythe collectors to come together and discuss these dolls freely.

Even though I’ve only had my first Blythe doll since 2007 I’m still new to the Blythe doll fandom and still learning.
