Final Specs of the 24th Anniversary Blythe, “Momoiro No Hime” have been unveiled!
Happy Birthday, Blythe!

Yesterday, June 23, was Blythe’s birthday, and Junie Moon celebrated by revealing the final specs for “Momoiro No Hime” the 24th Anniversary Blythe doll!
“Momoiro No Hime” is a “princess who loves Japanese fashion”. Her kimono is a fusion style of traditional and Lolita fashion made from a crepe material instead of regular kimono fabric. Kimono designer, Chimachoco, helped design “Momoiro No Hime” garment.
When I first saw the photos of “Momoiro No Hime” I actually didn’t know if I liked her or not. I want to adore her but after carefully looking through all her details, I was sort of disappointed with some of the final specs of this anniversary doll.
"I'm Momo, the Princess in peachy pink!
With a perfect blend of modern kimono grace and Lolita's sweet charm, I’m dressed in soft pinks and lace, ready to steal hearts at afternoon tea.
Sweetness, style, and a dash of magic—irresistibly me!”
“To me, Blythe is a living, breathing spirit. The anniversary dolls are a celebration of her existence.”

My thoughts
First off, I love her hair color! In the video, her hair looks greasy hopefully, that's not the case with all the dolls. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re showcasing the hime cut that well in the photos. I hope when they start styling her in different outfits, her hair will look better.
Her makeup isn’t as bold as I thought it would be. I think she could use a little bit more blush, and coming from me, that’s saying something! If you’ve been following my Substack for a while, you know I’m not big on blush! However, I feel like Momo (that’s what I’m calling her) would’ve benefited with more blusher. Her lip color is also very confusing. In one of the photos, her lips look darker than in others, which confuses me. Her makeup isn’t horrible just too light in my opinion, I wanted more.
I also think that the kimono looks slightly cheap. Chimachoco’s kimonos look incredibly stunning and are made from high-quality material, whereas Momo’s look bulky maybe this is because of the crepe fabric they’ve used? I think the design is adorable though!
As for the rest of her stock, I think the rabbit bag, cape, and bonnet are super cute. I love the hint of blue they chose to accent her stock with. Her special peach blossom pull string is also cute. I love that it comes on a pink string! I just feel like we needed more stock items. Yes, she was two head pieces, so why not give us an extra dress or something more? Again, she Anniversary doll! I mean, even “Silent Lucretia” came with more! She doesn’t even come with pierced ears or a manicure! smh
I love her special eye chips! The colored pupils are a new thing that I’ve never seen with other Blythe dolls before. The powder blue ones look especially haunting!
The box is truly stunning! I love the iridescent touches! But the inside of the box is plain white? I’ve heard people say that they want her just to keep her in the box! lol
Overall, I like her and think she’s cute! I feel like I will love her more once they style her in different outfits. I wanted more from an Anniversary release. If this were a regular doll release, I probably wouldn’t be complaining as much. With that said, I entered the Junie Moon lottery7 and hope that I get chosen! lol
